WebDriven was retained by the United States Central Command to update their web and mobile presence through a new content management system and a new look. An interesting twist was that all content and themes needed to be translated into an additional four languages, including two that were right-to-left.
WebDriven implemented a custom workflow in Joomla with six roles in order to move content from creation to edits to translation and ultimately to publishing it on the site. The Joomfish module was implemented in order to support translated content in the following languages: Urdu, Pashtu, Farsi and Russian. A particular challenge was reconfiguring the site templates and navigation to support the right-to-left languages.
